#AuditorProud Day 2026

Today, we celebrate #AuditorProud Day to recognise the talented people who bring audit to life every day.

While audit is often associated with numbers and regulations, its true impact comes from the people behind the work. Audit offers opportunities to learn continuously, collaborate with diverse teams, understand different businesses and contribute to building trust and transparency.

Throughout this year's campaign, we’ll share stories from our people across the firm, highlighting their experiences, career journeys and the meaningful impact they make for clients, organisations and communities around the world.

Meet our auditors around the globe:

Boglárka Bősze, Audit Manager in Hungary

What would you tell someone thinking about a career in audit?
Go for it! Working in audit gives you the chance to see so many different industries, businesses and areas of work. I honestly don’t know any other fields where you can learn and develop so quickly while gaining such a broad perspective on how businesses operate.

What superpower does every auditor need?
Resilience, a good sense of humour, and professional curiosity. You need the resilience to get through the busy periods, the humour to enjoy the journey with your colleagues and the curiosity to keep learning and asking many questions.

Nádia Ramos, Senior in Audit & Assurance in Portugal

What’s the best part of being an auditor?

The best part of being an auditor is having the opportunity to learn every day. Working directly with companies across different industries means that each day brings a new and different challenge.

What would you tell someone thinking about a career in audit?

Audit is the ideal field to develop a wide range of skills. The daily experiences we have with different companies and people make learning continuous and ensure that there are always new challenges to take on.

Willy David Ateba, Senior Auditor in Cameroon

What’s the best part of being an auditor?

The best thing about being an auditor is getting to meet brilliant people every day who push you to constantly strive for improvement. Whether they’re colleagues, clients, regulators or fellow auditors, the auditing profession surrounds you with people who are technically skilled and full of wisdom. And with the right mindset, it’s not intimidating but inspiring.

What superpower does every auditor need?

The best superpower would be the ability to read minds. This job relies heavily on the information you have, and the more crucial that information is, the better you do your job. Knowing what people want –or even what they might be forgetting would give you a real advantage.

Ji-A Ko, Auditor in South Korea

What makes audit more exciting than people think?

I like that audit takes me out of the office and lets me meet a variety of clients. Seeing how each business actually works makes the job more interesting than people might expect. I once did an inventory count at a luxury watch store before the department store opened. Experiences like that, getting to see what goes on behind the scenes, are what make audit more exciting than people often assume.

Do-Yeon Kim, Auditor in South Korea

What's the best part of being an auditor?

The best part of being an auditor is getting to closely understand the business structure of companies across a wide range of industries. That's what I love most about this profession, it gives me a broader and deeper perspective on how different industries and businesses actually operate. One experience that really stood out to me was auditing for a  concert industry company I was personally interested in.. Going through their revenue and purchases and gettingto see how that industry makes money is something I never would've learned otherwise.

Cesar Lara Cordova, Senior Auditor in Mexico

What makes auditing more exciting than people think?

Auditing goes far beyond numbers. We're not police officers; we're professionals who work alongside our clients, helping them navigate challenges, strengthen their businesses and build trust.
