Tell us about your journey at Mazars.
I joined Mazars in May 2021 and began working in the field of tax, compliance and accounting. After around six years in this field – both at Mazars and elsewhere, I decided to move to the transfer pricing department, where I now am a manager responsible for advising and assisting clients with their transfer pricing compliance and documentation.
What motivated you to shift roles?
At the beginning of 2022, I decided to make a career move to join the transfer pricing team at Mazars because it’s a really hot and important tax topic today that I really wanted to get more involved in. During the transition, Mazars partners and colleagues helped support and guide me to make this career shift. I have now successfully completed my advanced diploma in international taxation (ADIT), while simultaneously gaining work experience in a relevant role.
What do you value most at work?
At work, I'm really keen to continuously learn, improve and change for the better. This mindset has been an essential part of enabling me to get to where I am now. I love the dynamic working environment at Mazars and that ideas and suggestions for improvement are always welcomed. These help to enhance and promote my career growth.
Building positive working relationships with colleagues and the managing teams effectively is always the most challenging subject for both team members and managers alike. In the past, I have been discouraged by my failure, so I'm grateful that the partners and colleagues I work with at Mazars have provided me with support and guidance which helped me overcome a challenging period.
I've also learnt communication and problem-solving skills from the presentation and conduct of partners and senior managements in Mazars. Our firm has a clear focus on teamwork and building good relationships among team members. It’s great to be able to grow and develop my career alongside a great group of colleagues!
